What is Respite Club?
Families can enjoy a weekend break from around-the-clock care. Children enjoy a recreational weekend at our campsite while parents relax knowing their children are cared for and are having a good time.

Respite Weekends
These are an opportunity for families to enjoy a weekend break from round-the-clock care necessary for their child aged 5 to 35 years of age with a developmental disability. Counselors and qualified medical personnel will provide care for the children in a multipurpose, heated/cooled facility at Camp CAMP, located 10 miles southeast of Kerrville, Texas. They will ensure an enjoyable and recreational weekend for the children and their siblings. Activities include canoeing, horseback riding, swimming, archery, outdoor cooking, sports & recreation, and arts & crafts. Parents and family members can relax knowing their children are in good hands and having a good time. A minimum of 10 children must be registered by the deadline in order for the event to take place.  Parents can sign-up by going to www.campapps.org or they can call the administrative office at 210-671-8112 for a paper registration form. Parent's Nights Out Program (PNO)
Childcare and enrichment activity program for current Respite Club members is provided free of charge on scheduled Friday nights for children aged 6 months to 13 years of age with developmental disabilities and their siblings to give parents a "night out on the town". Teen & Adult Day Adventure (TADA)
A supervised social program for teens and young adults aged 14 -35 years of age with a developmental disability is scheduled one Saturday or Sunday per month. Activities include dinner, movies, sporting events, concerts, dances, etc. Check the Calendar of Events for dates and times. The cost to register is free; however, the parent is responsible for the child's meal, admission price (if applicable), and spending money. More Info...
